Plans to develop a BD12 million township for labourers were unveiled Saturday by a Bahrain real estate company. If approved by the government it will provide safe, respectable living conditions for some 6,000 expat workers, the GDN reported.
The project is the brainchild of Al Enma'a House for Real Estate, which hopes to make it the kingdom's first model labour camp. The company is asking the Bahraini government to grant it for the project 67,000 square metres of land in the new industrial park area in Hidd.
