Bilateral Bahrain-Thailand trade grew by over 16 per cent in 2005, amounting to $140 million, the Thai envoy to Manama was quoted as saying by the Bahrain Tribune. Ambassador Widhya Bhoolsuwan, who was at the Thai Business Centre (TBC) to oversee Bahrain-Thai trade meetings, pointed out he was positive that the GCC-Thai free-trade agreement (FTA) would further boost business ties between Thailand and the GCC.
