A Bahraini charity is rebuilding homes for Palestinian families whose houses were bulldozed by the Israelis. The Islamic Education Society has spent more BD39,000 to build 65 one-storey houses for needy families in Rafah. According to GDN, their original homes were bulldozed by the Israelis, said society aid and orphans committee head Jassim Al Maawada.
"These families then had no place to go to and had a rough time finding shelter," he said.
Mr Al Maawada said the society decided to help them return to their neighbourhood after receiving a letter highlighting their plight.
