Scores of Bahraini families who have waited years for government homes demonstrated Monday over the delays. According to GDN, the demonstration, organised by the National Committee for Appropriate Accommodation, was to highlight the plight of families who are still waiting for government houses 13 years after applying.
The Bahraini authorities presented members of the committee with 10 houses in November 2004, but the families refused them after an inspection by independent engineers.
