National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has won a new regional award this year from the renowned UAE financial magazine “The Banker Middle East” for being “The Best Customer Service & Call Center in Middle East”. “The Banker ME”, through a panel of its experts across the region, has prepared for this election by arranging a special online voting system specifying the different categories of the rallying banks, and resulting with the selection of this year’s best banks in different criteria.
Mr. Adel Al Majed, NBK’s Group General Manager for Consumer Banking, has proudly received the award on behalf of NBK from Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman-Director General of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), and Mr. Dominic D’Souza- the Founder of CPI publisher of the Banker ME Magazine. Al Majed commented that this award has a special value to us because it demonstrates that NBK is providing its clientele with its best customer care and quality service on all levels all over the world. The fact that NBK won also the best call center in the ME award is another indication of its utmost attention to efficiently attend to customers’ telephonic queries and assist them in all possible ways. He then adds that the winning of this versatile award on the domestic and regional levels emphasizes NBK’s strong leadership among arab banks and its constant strive to improve and diversify its services.
On the other hand, Al Majed stated that NBK has a remarkable financial position with strong financial competitive capabilities as it had reported a record net profit of USD 152 million (KD 44.3 million) during the first three months of 2005 compared with USD 108 million for the same period last year, with an increase of 39% marking an outstanding performance by regional and international standards. NBK is yet to reveal new accomplishments and developments in its strategy to reinforce its prominent position in local and regional markets.
In concluding, Al Majed said that NBK is one of the largest and most profitable banks in the Middle East that has been continuously expanding through the region and beyond, and is taking full advantage of the improved economic environment and upgrading its complete range of products in response to the needs of its customers.
