Batelco has announced the successful completion of ISO 9001:2000 QUALITY audits for two additional departments within the company, raising the number of Batelco’s ISO 9001-2000 certifications to 45.
Pre-paid mobile services, mobile pre-paid network and GSM roaming have all earned the internationally recognized accreditation by matching their business processes to certification standards.
“The pre-paid mobile services department deserves special recognition as the first department from sales and marketing to join the ISO 9001-2000 registration,” explained Saleh Tarradah, acting chief operating officer – support services at Batelco. “The department’s staff has shown relentless effort and dedication to achieve this accreditation during what has been a very busy time for them with the introduction of competition in our market.“
“In addition, mobile pre-paid network and GSM roaming accreditation means that all of Batelco’s mobile network departments are certified to ISO 9001-2000, proving that unit’s commitment to customer satisfaction and improved efficiency.”
Batelco’s recent ISO 9001-2000 accreditations were granted following an application and assessment programme conducted by the company and the globally recognized quality assurance body, British Standards Institute (BSI).
“This certification is an international recognition that we meet the highest global standards,” said Saleh. “The company thanks all of Batelco’s staff who worked effectively to attain this accreditation. It took an enormous amount of dedication and commitment on top of an already heavy workload and everyone involved deserves to take great pride in this achievement.” (menareport.com)
