Batelco officially launched its new Egyptian company Batelco Egypt Communications on January 18, 2004, at Cairo ICT 2004 at the Conrad Hotel.
The company was established last August as an Egyptian Joint Stock Closed Company, and Batelco now owns 100 percent of the firm. Their public data network license was granted by the telecom regulating authority (TRA) in October.
The new company will be known as Batelco Egypt and will offer specialist services for global or multinational companies based in Egypt. The firm will have an authorized capital of 30 million Egyptian pounds ($4.8 million) and its paid-up capital is three million pounds. — (menareport.com)
