Lebanese minister of transportation and public works, Najib Meqati, declared a series of new measures to lower fees collected by the Beirut Seaport as of May 7th, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
As part of the new regulations, the import fee imposed on various packaged food products decreased by 25 percent, while the export fee imposed on these packages, including transit and free zone products, declined by 60 percent. In addition, the exported products storage fee was lowered by 46 percent. — (MENA Report)
