AMC, the largest supplier of certified diamonds in Antwerp, Belgium, has confirmed that the company's Middle East hub will be located at the manufacturing facility at the Dubai Metals and Commodities Center (DMCC).

AMC's regional expansion, and decision to locate in DMCC, reflects a dramatic increase in pace in the booking of manufacturing units, whose purpose built multiple manufacturing buildings will each have 12 floors and available space of 5,500 square meters. Booking for this facility started less than two months ago, and almost 75 percent of the manufacturing units have already been sold.

Strategically located in Dubai, at the crossroads of trade and commerce between East and West, DMCC is ideally positioned for manufacturers to service and access markets that span Middle East, North and Southern Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and the CIS.

The manufacturing facilities provide registered companies with amenities for jewelry, diamond and precious stone manufacture. Companies can benefit staff accommodation within the grounds of DMCC, a regulated and secure environment, as well as special freight rates, a fifty-year tax holiday and the prospect to fully own a business premises in the UAE.

Construction of the manufacturing units is scheduled to start in August 2003, and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2004. — (menareport.com)
