US-based BellSouth Corporation is providing the Mosul Telephone Company and Mosul University, Iraq with approximately 274 kilometers of fiber to establish key telecommunication lines in the Iraqi city.
On July 2, the fiber will travel from Atlanta to Fort Campbell in Kentucky where the 101st Airborne Division will transport it to Mosul for deployment. It should arrive in Iraq next week.
