United Colors of Benetton is relocating its Marina Mall outlet in Abu Dhabi to Abu Dhabi Mall. The new store is 1,600 square feet in size and will be open at the end of April 2004.
Benetton will be among international brands like Aldo, Starbucks and Swatch in the Abu Dhabi Mall. Around 50 percent of the mall is made up of top international stores.
"Abu Dhabi Mall attracts a footfall of almost 20,000 people daily, is centrally located and a prime destination for most Abu Dhabi residents," said General Manager of Retail and Marketing for Easa Saleh Al-Gurg Group, Ajai Dayal, sole distributor for Benetton in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"Fashion trends in Abu Dhabi are different and so is the clientele. We hope to attract a larger, younger, more fashion conscious audience for Benetton's casual designer wear. This store will be built according to the design of the Benetton outlets in Dubai and will open with fresh stock from the spring/summer collection 2004," continues Dayal.
United Colors of Benetton in the UAE has been part of the Easa Saleh Al-Gurg Group since 1989. Alongside the new store in Abu Dhabi Mall, the Benetton network spans six shops in Dubai: Deira City Centre, BurJuman, Jumeirah Centre, Zabeel Road, Al Ghurair, and Lamcy Plaza. — (menareport.com)
