BenQ, manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices for the display, storage, imaging, wireless, and broadband areas, will launch a series of promotions at the Gitex 2002 exhibition and computer shopper fair.

“BenQ products aim to bring quality and enjoyment to life through innovation and design, making technology more a function of lifestyle and less a tool for a specific task. The result of this approach to regional sales has yielded 20 percent growth over last year’s figures across every BenQ product we sell,” said Robert Dung, managing director of BenQ Middle East.

“At Gitex 2002, BenQ is committed to demonstrating to attendees that IT is not just a work tool but also about having fun. And at both the exhibition and shopper venues, BenQ employees and reseller partners will be showcasing our latest products—from LCD TVs and digital cameras to plasma display screens—and offering new technology at significant discounts,” added Dung.

Previously named Acer Communications and Multimedia, BenQ produces digital life devices encompassing display, storage, imaging, wireless, and broadband areas. BenQ Middle East’s headquarter office is located in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone.

BenQ has manufacturing plants in China, Malaysia, Mexico, and Taiwan. The company has 10,100 employees worldwide, supporting a strong global sales, marketing, and services network spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

BenQ has research and development facilities in Taiwan (Hsinchu Lab), China (Suzhou Software Development Center), and California (Wireless Technology Center), and has close to 1,200 research and development employees in China, Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, San Diego. BenQ owns more than 670 global patents. — (menareport.com)
