Storage product provider BenQ announced the Middle East launch of its latest optical storage product – CRW4816P CD-rewriter – and expects continued growth across all of its optical storage products.

BenQ CRW4816P offers internal IDE, and maximum 48X writing, 16X rewriting, and 48X reading speeds. Under optimal conditions, an 80-minute extra-long CD can be written in less than three minutes. The CD-rewriter also adopts true CAV for speed control. Starting at 22X from the inner-edge and accelerating at a constant velocity to a maximum 48X, the average write speed is just over 37X.

CRW4816P comes equipped with Seamless Link technology to prevent recording interruptions from buffer under-run errors. With Seamless Link, a proprietary BenQ technology, the CRW4816P’s greatest advantage over other CD-rewriter brands is its use of firmware rather than software to achieve its task.

Previously named Acer Communications and Multimedia, BenQ produces digital life devices for the display, storage, imaging, wireless, and broadband areas. BenQ Middle East’s headquarter office is located in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone.

BenQ has manufacturing plants in China, Malaysia, Mexico, and Taiwan. The company has 10,100 employees worldwide. BenQ has research and development facilities in Taiwan, China, and California, and has close to 1,200 research and development employees in China, Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, San Diego. BenQ has amassed more than 670 global patents. — (menareport.com)
