BGP Oil & Gas Services Oman, a joint venture between BGP International China and Rees Oil & Gas Services Oman has commenced operations on a 3D seismic survey of Block 5 for Daleel Petroleum.
Rees Oil & Gas Services is a 100 percent Omani company owned by the Omzest group and Al-Yousef international Oman. BGP has also reported that it has secured another contract from Novus Oman for carrying out Seismic surveys.
BGP International is owned by China’s National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The company acquired its foothold in Oman in 2002, purchasing a 50 percent stake in Block 5. The concession, now in operation for 20 years, has another 18 years left with a 10-year extension possibility. — (menareport.com)
