BH Defense has been awarded a $30.9 million firm-fixed-price, multi-year, foreign military sales contract for work on the Iraq International Academy.
The U.S. Army contract has options for equipment, training, sustainment and support for the academy.
The estimated completion date is June 2019.
Army Contracting Command is the contracting agency.
The facility was built in 2011 and aims to provide a centralized location and state-of-the-art facilities for Iraqi government executive seminars.
The academy educates military and civilian personnel in public administration, management logistics, strategic planning and analysis, rule of law and governance.
It is located next to Baghdad's Green Zone, with courses geared toward future military and civilian leaders, primarily lieutenant colonels and above and their equivalents.
The U.S. Forces-Iraq report states the academy was initially a $20 million project.
