ALBAWABA - Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates, who is one of the world's richest men, has paid a visit to China and met President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Friday, local Chinese media reported.
Gates vowed through his foundation $50 million to help Chinese efforts to battle disease.
According to AFP, this visit by the billionare Bill Gates is his first to China in four years.
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reported: "On June 16, President Xi Jinping met the American Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation co-chairperson Bill Gates in Beijing."
