Egypt’s Bisco Misr company reported a 38 percent drop in net profits for the first half of 2004 compared to the same period last year. Net profits reached 8.8 million Egyptian pounds ($1.4 million) compared to EP 4.3 million in the first half of 2002/2003, reported Mist News.
Bisco Misr was established in 1957 as a baked goods manufacturer. The company produces biscuits, chocolates, chewing gum, candy, wafers and cereals. Its products are consumed locally and are exported to Middle East and African countries. — (menareport.com)
