Moroccan soft drink firm Brasseries du Maroc (SBM) will establish a new brewery under the name Societe Nouvelle des Brasseries du Maroc. The factory is expected to go on stream by January 2003, reported Reuters.
Casablanca-based SBM will be the sole owner of the brewery, which will produce, bottle and distribute its output. The beverage conglomerate is a subsidiary of the Omnium Nord-Africain (ONA) Group, Morocco's largest private company.
ONA markets fish, sugar and milk products as well as edible oils to African markets. They export goods and equipment to other African countries and have operations in hypermarkets, mining exploitation, automobile assembly and sales, real estate and holding companies. — (menareport.com)
