Brazil’s Kepler Weber Group expects to register a 50 percent increase in its turnover this year, thanks to its penetration into European markets through turnkey contracts. In October, the Kepler Weber group signed a $2.2 million contract to supply silos to a subsidiary of Bunge Limited in Turkey.

The Latin America producer of grain silos also plans to participate in trade events in Saudi Arabia during 2003, seeking to obtain a foothold in this lucrative market. US-based Bunge is an integrated, global agribusiness and food company, operating in the farm-to-consumer food chain with worldwide distribution capabilities and primary operations in North America, South America and Europe

The Istanbul-based Bunge Gida Ticaret is expected to see the silos go into operation by June 2003, with an initial transporter capacity of 600 tons of grains and 250 tons of soy bran. The company has ordered three metallic silos (Sg-105 model), with total capacity of storage of 30,000 tons of grains. — (menareport.com)
