British Airways is to increase its capacity to Egypt's second city, Alexandria, by 30 percent to meet customer demand during the peak summer months. From June 4, frequencies between Alexandria and London will increase from three to four per week.
Passengers connecting to the British Airways hub at Heathrow will also be able to have same day arrivals to key destinations beyond London, and over 550 destinations in 134 countries with the airline’s partners in the oneworld alliance.
Services between Alexandria and London are operated by British Airways’ sole longhaul, independent franchise partner, British Mediterranean Airways. Flights are operated by Airbus A320 aircraft and offer customers a two-cabin service.
The airline also announced the launch of a an increase to five flights a week to Tehran in Iran, an increase to eleven flights a week to Beirut in Lebanon, an increase to four flights a week to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, and non-stop flights to Yerevan in Armenia. — (menareport.com)
