Residents in Abu Dhabi now have 24 hour access to home maintenance following an agreement between Burooj Properties, the Real Estate Investment arm of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Hitches & Glitches, the Dubai based property management company

Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Hammer & Spanner, believes that his company is ideally placed to meet the property service requirements of Abu Dhabi’s population. “If there is one common complaint from homeowners in Abu Dhabi, it is that there is a lack of proper facilities management,” he says. “The extremely hot weather experienced across the region means that amenities such as air-conditioning systems and plumbing need to be serviced on a regular basis,” he adds.

Hammer & Spanner aims to emulate the success of its parent company, Hitches & Glitches, which operates in Dubai. “Hitches and Glitches has proved extremely successful in our neighbouring Emirate and has experienced a high demand for its invaluable services,” says Mr. Al Dhaheri. “Hammer and Spanner has expanded this role into Abu Dhabi and signed with Burooj Properties because of its extensive buildings portfolio within the Emirate. We will be delivering the same high standards of customer care,” he adds.

Hammer & Spanner promise quick response times for a complete range of maintenance issues; including plumbing, heating, air conditioning and drainage. “All our staff are highly trained and specialised in all aspects of building servicing,” says Mr. Al Dhaheri. “We guarantee that in the event of a problem, someone from our team will be at your doorstep within 30 minutes of your call,” he adds. The company has set up a 24-hour help desk, which is manned throughout the year and can be reached using a toll free number. An annual subscription scheme paid by the client means that there are no additional charges for labour and service. “We aim to provide total peace of mind for a small monthly outlay,” says Mr. Al Dhaheri.

Burooj Properties manages an extensive property portfolio and is engaged in both local and international project investments. Through its parent company, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, it also offers traditional financial services; such as valuations and Islamic property financing.
