Memon Investments, a leading Dubai-based property developer and part of the international business conglomerate - the Memon Group of Companies - announced that it has awarded an AED 82 million contract to Cairo Contracting Company (CCC) for the construction of the AED 145 million Champions Tower III in Dubai Sports City (DSC). After an assessment of the contractor’s outstanding work on the previously awarded AED 80 million Cambridge Business Centre, company officials have made a decision to award a second contract to the Dubai-based contracting company.

Rizwan Shaikhani, Joint Managing Director, Memon Investments and Hesham El Mohandess, Director, Cairo Contracting Company inked the contract in a signing ceremony held at the Memon Investments offices in Dubai. The contractor will be working with a team of experts from Eng. Adnan Saffarini Office and Stromek Emirates Foundation, which were earlier awarded with the architectural design and shoring and excavation contract respectively for the project. A team comprised of 400 staff including project managers, site supervisors and labourers will be working to complete the project in 20 months.

“Developing a project that is born out of a combination of high quality standards and distinctive design presents us with a tremendous challenge as well as rewarding opportunity to push the boundaries and bring together built space at its finest form,” said Rizwan Shaikhani. “Our projects are setting the standards in terms of quality and uniqueness, and this is largely due to the contribution of our partners. We have reinstated our collaboration with Cairo Contracting Company as we are very impressed with their initial work on Cambridge Business Centre.”

Occupying an area of 250,000 sq. ft., Champions Tower III blends high-tech functionality and modern architectural acumen, offering a choice of 256 elegant units comprising of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The development has seen tremendous reception from investors, achieving a sold out status late last year due to the developer’s extensive pre and post launch marketing campaigns held throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

A fitting partner for a successful real estate company in Dubai, CCC boasts of a project portfolio approximately valued at LE 800 million, having completed a number of prestigious construction works for leading global companies. Among its most prominent projects include a civil works implementation for Orascom Telecom in Egypt, and a partnership with the Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority to construct the 120 MW Zafarana Wind Park. For this project, the company has deployed more highly trained workers who will utilise advanced construction equipment such as high performance concrete cables and blustering machines.

“We have always prided ourselves on our dedicated focus towards quality and keen attention to all aspects of our processes. We are very glad and honoured to have been selected by Memon Investments for the second time now to undertake the prestigious Champions Tower III project. Our on-going project with Memon Investments’ Cambridge Business Centre has given us a fair idea regarding their expectations, and thus we are confident that we will be able to adhere to the high standards they maintain across all their developments and complete the entire construction work within the stipulated schedule,” concluded Hesham El Mohandess.
