The Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export will make its Middle East trade exhibition debut at the Glass, Ceramics, Minerals and Mining show, to be held in Dubai later this month.

The association represents over 250 leading Canadian mining companies supplying mineral exploration, mine development, mining, mineral processing, environmental monitoring, smelting and refining.

“The presence of Canada’s top mining industry association at the show demonstrates the growing international interest in the Middle East’s non-fuel mineral potential,” said Mohammed Falaknaz, Vice Chairman of International Expo Consults (IEC), organisers of the Glass, Ceramics, Minerals and Mining Middle East.

“Mines have a finite life and, as a result, there is a constant need to develop new ones. The changing investment climate in the Middle East means the region is now more attractive to international mining companies keen to develop new markets by tapping the area’s largely undeveloped non-fuel mineral resources.”

Glass, Ceramics, Minerals and Mining Middle East 2002 is the region’s only trade event for the rapidly expanding minerals and mining industry. To date exhibitors from nine countries have contracted to take part in the show to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from January 27-29. — (menareport.com)
