On Monday, February 19, the market crept upwards, as prices had dipped to attractive levels, encouraging investors to extend their participation in the market.
Telecoms led the mini-recovery, as GSM heavyweight MobiNiL (EMOB.CA) edged 1.69 percent higher to LE69.62 while regional telecom operator Orascom Telecom –OT (ORTE.CA) climbed 1.32 percent to close at LE39.80. However, bank stocks ended lower, as Commercial International Bank – CIB (COMI.CA) closed 0.69 percent down at LE33.68 while Egyptian American Bank – EAB (EABK.CA) fell 1.69 percent to LE33.91.
Overall, the PAMI inched 0.18 percent higher to 7,285.4.
