The Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) has deployed a new customer service and employee productivity solution enhancing networking solutions at its new headquarters in Dubai, stated press release.
Working with United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based systems integrator, Computer Network Services (CNS), CBD will install an end-to-end Cisco Systems LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network). The new network architecture will form the keystone of the bank's strategy to position customer service as a key differentiator in the UAE's highly competitive financial services industry.
Upon opening its new Deira headquarters next year, CBD's employees will be able to access and update core financial applications at connection speeds of 1 gigabits per second. This will accelerate the bank's ability to service customers and will lead to efficiency increases for back-office operations.
CBD is also deploying a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) within conference rooms to help senior executives respond to rapidly changing market forces and steer the bank to achieve ever-greater results. This goes along with CBD's strategy as a high-tech driven bank moving in a high-tech building providing e-banking services, credit card services, and other financial services.
Technical expertise and consultancy for the project will be provided by CBD's long-term technology partner, Computer Network Services (CNS). CNS will be responsible for the security and reliability of the network as CBD moves initially more than 300 employees into its new premises.
CBD is a full service bank that offers its customers a full range of retail and commercial banking services. With a network that includes more than 20 branches and cash offices, the Bank covers all of UAE with branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al-Ain. The Bank plans more expansion through the establishment of a new headquarters, which is now under construction, and more branches. — (menareport.com)
