This year marks the United Arab Emirates's golden jubilee which is a remarkable milestone for the thriving Gulf nation that was formed in 1971 under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
While various celebrations are currently taking place across the seven emirates to commemorate the "UAE Year of the Fiftieth", we at Al Bawaba Middle East decided to celebrate it in our own innovative way inspired by the UAE's innovation and creativity in all sectors.
We decided to create an artwork that represents the UAE's leadership, pillars and major events and monuments of the country, and to auction it as an NFT on Opensea with the title "UAE Year of the Fiftieth".
Everyone is welcomed to participate in this bid, and all the proceeds of the sale will be donated to the UAE's Red Crescent.
The artwork was originally made by Al Bawaba's digital artist, Rami Khoury.
