The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) will receive $2.5 million in financial aid from China signed. The funds will be directed towards reconstructing projects in Palestinian towns—namely Khan Younis, Rafah, Al-Bureij and Beit Lahya—damaged during Israeli military incursions.

Since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in late September 2000, the severely depressed Palestinian economy has incurred over eight billion dollar in losses. Overall poverty rate has reached an estimated 60 percent, with unemployment levels at around 50 percent. — (menareport.com)
