China Offshore Oil Corporation has recently obtained an offshore oil drilling licence in Ras Tafeiney, on the southern Atlantic shore, near Agadir.
The announcement was made recently by general manager of Morocco’s hydrocarbons and mining office (ONHYM), Amina Benkhadra, following a session with executives from the Chinese firm.
According to MAP, she said the Ras Tafeiney oil prospecting licence will start this month. Morocco will also supply to the Chinese company all information on other offshore and onshore regions. (menareport.com)
