Ahmed al Zayani & Sons Company, distributor of Chrysler and Dodge automobiles in Bahrain, was due on May 29 to open its new sale and service center in the capital city of Manama. The investment in this center amounts to BD3 million. It spreads over an area of 90,000 square feet, al Ayam daily reported. (BD1=$2.65).
David Glorius, deputy president of Ahmed al Zayani and the Middle East manager for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep said that the center's inauguration comes within the framework of the opening of new display halls by its distributors in other Arab Gulf states such as Kuwait and Qatar. According to Glorius, Ahmed al Zayani & Sons Company succeeded last year to double Chrysler and Dodge sales in the local market. He added that the new center would have 97 percent of the required spare parts.
Mr. Glorius concluded by saying that the Bahraini market is important to Chrysler, whereby the latter is committed to this market through a $4-million agreement over the upcoming 5 years.
