Internet networking company, Cisco Systems, has opened its multi-million dollar headquarters in Dubai Internet City (DIC), completing another step in its Middle East expansion program. The offices have access to high-speed Ethernet connectivity and IP Telephony as standard.
This new technology forms an important role in Cisco's plans to accelerate business development activities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to a company press release.
Cisco will lease 1,600 square meters of office facilities from DIC to house its regional headquarters and Gulf team of Internet business consultants. The new headquarters will also be equipped with a ‘proof of concept’ laboratory, where business partners and customers can evaluate the latest in Ethernet, IP Telephony and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) among others.
Cisco is continuing to expand its operations across the region and has penetrated new and emerging markets in recent months. Earlier this year, for example Cisco held its first Cisco Expo exhibitions in Morocco and Amman, marking a new phase in the company's development of its regional network. — (menareport.com)
