The American University of Cairo (AUC) and its Sheikh Kamal Adham Center for Broadcast Journalism held a special ceremony to honor Zafar Siddiqi, chairman and CEO of CNBC Arabiya as it newest fellow.
The honorary title "Associate" of the AUC's Adham TV Centre is exclusively given to individuals who have provided moral support to the AUC's broadcast centre, as well as hold positions as active members of the broadcasting community.
Siddiqi, chairman and CEO of CNBC Arabiya, the first 24-hour economic and financial news channel of the Arab world, is actively involved in promoting and developing broadcasting talent in the region, according to a university press release. The ceremony, held at the campus of the AUC, was attended by leading Arab media figures and officials. — (menareport.com)
