The Europe, Middle East and Africa vice president and general manager for US computer maker Compaq, Walid Moneimne, revealed this week that the company may soon open an office in Beirut.
Compaq already has offices in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Egypt within the region. No specific date was given by Moneimne for opening an office, but he said tat Compaq prefers to open “as fully fledged an office as possible, not put one person here”, indicating that it might take a little time for the move to be realised.
Moneimne added that he sees Lebanon as having the potential to grow faster than other markets in the region. — (Banque du Liban et d'Outre-Mer Sal)
