Conoco and its equity affiliates added 333 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) to the company's worldwide proved reserves in 2000, replacing 139 percent of the oil and natural gas the company produced during the year.
Conoco's 2000 reserve additions largely came from the company's primary focus areas of Indonesia, Venezuela, North America, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
The company's 2000 year-end proved reserves increased to 2.65 billion BOE, up 4 percent from 2000. International proved reserves -- which represent nearly 75 percent of Conoco's worldwide reserves -- were up 5 percent to 2 billion BOE.
