The secretary general of the Jordanian Valley Authority, Mohammed Dhafer, announced that Al-Wehda Dam construction tender, along the Jordanian Syrian borders, will be awarded to qualified companies, so that they can begin the project construction at the beginning of next year.
The Jordanian official, reported Al-Hayat newspaper, asserted that continuous talks are being held with the Syrians in order to start and complete this strategic project in accordance with the previously determined timetable. The Arab Economic and Social Development Fund contributed JD 82 million ($115.8 million) to this project. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
