Contract for Dubai Pearl's 'Omnix Towers' awarded to DCC

The signing of a Dh498 million ($136 million) agreement was announced on Monday between Dubai Pearl Inc and the Dubai Contracting Company (DCC) to construct the Omnix North and Omnix South Office Towers of Dubai Pearl.

 

The 55-storey office towers will be a key feature within Dubai Pearl, the Dh5.8 billion ($1.6 billion), 10 million square foot community, according to Khaleej Times. Construction of the Omnix towers is scheduled for completion some time mid-2008.

 

The office towers will climb approximately 208 meters and offer splendid views below, as the 'self-contained' Dubai Pearl community will overlook the base of 'The Palm Jumeirah' development.

 

The new Omnix Towers are expected to establish Dubai Pearl as one of the most a prestigious business, residential and leisure destination in the GCC region. 

 

"Dubai Pearl will incorporate the most sophisticated design technologies to offer a world-class office environment," said Jamal Abu Issa, President of Dubai Pearl Inc., one of the signatories of the agreement, also signed by Abdallah Yabroudi, Chairman of DCC.

 

"It is important that we partner with the right contractors such as DCC who understand our requirements and can help us achieve our ambitious goals," added Abu Issa, stressing the importance of the contract signing as a major step in the progress of the landmark project.
