ALBAWABA - Cuba has run out of diesel and fuel oil as gas stations are totally empty due to the blockade imposed by the United States of the Strait of Hormuz amid tension with Iran, Reuters reported Thursday.
U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a blockade on Iranian ports in response to the Iranian Navy's closure of the Strait of Hormuz following the military attacks on Tehran by Washington and Tel Aviv.
Cubans took to the streets across the capital of Havana on Wednesday evening, protesting the country's worst rolling blackouts in decades.
Cuba's energy and mines minister announced that there are districts and areas in Havana that are left without power for about 22 hours every day.
Reuters added that protesters were heard shouting, "Turn on the lights!" and "The people, united, will never be defeated!"
