Cyprus Airways has flown the Dubai-Beirut route for the first time; a sector the Mediterranean carrier believes has 'boundless potential.' Cyprus' national airline is flying the route twice a week until September 5 when two more flights will be added to the schedule.
"Flights to Beirut are stand-out performers for Cyprus Airways on other sectors so we clearly needed traffic rights Dubai-Beirut,” said the airline's Middle East and Gulf chief, Stavros Kyprianou. It definitely has boundless potential and is the start of another exciting chapter in Cyprus Airways' history in the Middle East."
When all the new Beirut flights are in place in September it will represent the most substantial route expansion in the Middle East by Cyprus Airways since it commenced operations in the Gulf 26 years ago, according to Kyprianou.
Passenger demand also necessitated the immediate introduction of the Airbus A320 on the Dubai-Beirut route. The A320 configuration flown by Cyprus Airways is 25 seats in business class and 131 in economy. The A319 configuration is 12 seats in business class and 114 in economy. — (menareport.com)
