DEPA, the Middle East’s leading hotel interiors contracting company, Sunday announced the successful completion of its involvement in the furnishing of the recently opened Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The contract comprised the manufacturing, supply and installation of all furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E) of rooms, suites, restaurants, business centres, function, leisure and all other public areas. The contemporary 366-room Hotel, standing 30 stories high is located in the heart of Cairo’s elite Garden City district.

“Working on this project with Nova Park, the owning company, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the world’s leading hotel operator, and with the Boston-based Frank Nicholson’s creative interior design, was truly challenging and the results, very rewarding,” said Mohannad Sweid, DEPA CEO. “Our projections indicate that DEPA’s business volumes will reach over Dh4 billion Dh. in the coming 5 years, and adding the Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel in Cairo to our portfolio is an important milestone in the road to achieving our business objectives.”

DEPA worked closely with the interior designer, the hotel owner and operator from the outset to create an airy, open and contemporary feel to the hotel with an exquisite use of spaces, especially in the lobby area, which is a sign of the overall concept found throughout the Hotel.

The 30 story 5 Star hotel of 780 Bays, located on the spectacular Nile River and aimed to cater for both business and leisure travellers offers 336 standard rooms, 28 suites, 72 business suites and 2 royal suites. Contemporary in design, with shades of taupe or teal complimented by light woods, many of the rooms feature private, furnished, outdoor terraces, perfect for relaxing or dining. Silk wall coverings and curtains in warm tones of pale green, taupe and beige, modern chandeliers of hand blown glass and contemporary artwork from around the world create a distinctly fresh atmosphere.

“With the opening of our second hotel in Cairo, we are offering our guests two completely distinct experiences on opposite sides of the Nile,” said Wolf Hengst, President, Worldwide Hotel Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

After completing the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh and now Cairo, DEPA has shifted its attention to two new interior projects for the new Four Seasons, San Stefano in Alexandria and the Four Seasons Doha, Qatar.

Mr. Hisham Talaat Mostafa the CEO of Nova Park Cairo S.A.E., the owning company of Four Seasons Nile Plaza stated: “We chose to work with DEPA due to their unbeatable reputation in the market and the high quality of workmanship the company delivers. Our first property, which opened in 2002, has an intimate and residential atmosphere while for the new hotel, we wanted a more contemporary design and feel. DEPA delivered our requirements on time and budget in both properties.” (menareport.com)
