A host of unique entertainment, shopping and dining options will be offered the resort's visitors, including authentic and live pirate shows, antique exhibitions, jewelry displays and auctions that transport visitors to a time when "skull and cross-bone" black-flagged ships ruled the waves.

The landmark Bawadi project was established to help accommodate the dramatic increase in tourism to Dubai, which is set to reach more than 15 million visitors over the coming years, compared to the current six million tourists who visited the Emirate in 2005.

The Tatweer firm is currently developing numerous luxurious theme-based hotels such as the Pirate's Cove Hotels & Resorts, Desert Gate Hotels & Resorts, the Wahat Alkuttab Hotels, the Desert Beach Hotel & Resort, the Land of Arabia Hotels & Resorts, the Wild Wild West Hotels, the Africa World Hotels, and the Europa Hotels & Resorts.
