US-based developer of self-service systems Diebold, has launched its new OPTEVA family of automated cash machines (ATMs) at the Raya World 2003 conference in Egypt. During this event Diebold received several significant orders from some of Egypt's leading retail banks including Misr International Bank, Banque du Caire, Commercial International Bank, and Credit Agricole.
At the conference, a Diebold Opteva was connected to the National Bank of Egypt's (NBE) existing ATM network, allowing delegates to withdraw and deposit cash. The Opteva family includes a through-the-wall, walk-up ATM and a lobby ATM, both with advanced functionality, and a through-the-wall and lobby cash dispenser.
Diebold operates in Egypt through its distributor Raya Integration. The company was established as a Raya Holding subsidiary in 1998. It specializes in broad-scale systems integration and offers multi-vendor support through its center and coverage across the country. — (menareport.com)
