Donor countries to Egypt contribute $10.3 billion in aid by 2004

The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fayza Abu Alnaja, revealed that the Advisory Group of donor countries to Egypt, which recently met in Sharem El-Sheikh, promised to provide $10.3 billion in financial aid to Egypt by 2004, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awast . The group was also committed to grant Egypt an urgent aid package of $2.1 billion later this year. Egypt is committed to execute a number of economic measures to improve the local investment climate and to assure the growth of the national economy. — (menareport.com)
