Dragon Mart Complex, the largest trading hub for Chinese products outside the China mainland, located at Nakheel’s International City project, has announced its participation in the UAE Trade Exhibition in Ghana and Senegal that will be held from April 24th-29th, 2006. Through its participation in the trade fair, Dragon Mart Complex aims to highlight the significant advantages for wholesale traders from Africa in purchasing Chinese products from Dragon Mart, rather than travelling to China. The Dragon Mart Complex is made up of Dragon Mart, residential units and warehouses all offering an array of high quality facilities for visitors and traders alike.

Abdullah Lootah, General Manager, Dragon Mart Complex, said, “The main purpose of our participation in this exhibition is to attract a large number of wholesale traders from Africa to the UAE, especially those traders dealing with Chinese products. Ever since Dragon Mart opened its doors to business, traders were no longer required to travel all the way to China to source their products. The wide range of Chinese products and logistical advantages that Dragon Mart offers to traders will be a major attraction for wholesalers from Africa. At Dragon Mart, traders will not be hindered by language barriers that they so often face in China, and they can also be assured of getting the best quality Chinese products at the most competitive prices.”

The main objective of the UAE Trade Exhibition in Ghana and Senegal is to explore business opportunities for trade, technology transfer, investment and other areas of business co-operation between UAE and Africa. The exhibition in Ghana will showcase the industries and investment opportunities, while the business matching forum in Senegal will be a platform to meet relevant business people, while also facilitating discussions with senior government officials from relevant Ministries. There will also be business discussions with trade associations and chambers of commerce.

“This exhibition will go a long way in enhancing trade ties between the UAE and West African states, and we are certain that UAE will continue to attract major investments from Africa,” he added.
