The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in a recently held Travel and Tourism Group meeting deliberated on activating their tourism and business promotions in the East European market especially Greece.
There was a general feeling among the attendees too, that of late tourism and business interests and activities from East European market have shown an upward trend.
DTCM Director General, Khalid A Bin Sulayem, who chaired the meeting at the World Trade Centre said that it has always been Dubai’s endeavor to expand its horizon by discovering new markets. He noted that one of the integral strategies of the department is to discover and study new markets.
The attendees at the meeting also revealed that incentive travels would have further boost between October 2003 and March 2004. Other issues regarding cruise operators and car parking facilities at the Dubai International Airport were also discussed in the meeting. — (menareport.com)
