Deputy Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Banna met with top Moldavian businessman Ceslaru Anatolie along with a representative from the Moldavian Chamber of Commerce to advise them on ways to strengthen their presence in the region and to penetrate the local markets.

The Moldavian guests requested help from the Dubai chamber to participate in next year's Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) by establishing a Moldavian pavilion. The Deputy Director General offered the support of the Dubai Chamber for Moldavia to have a presence in next year's DSF, and advised them to also organize a Moldavian week sometime in the near future.

Al-Banna also called on the Moldavian Chamber to organize for a delegation of businessmen and traders to visit Dubai in order for them to obtain better knowledge of the country, and explained that the Dubai Chamber would organize for the delegates to meet with Dubai businessmen.

“Although the volume of trade exchanged between the two countries is very small, the Dubai imports from Moldavia in 2002 reached 524,000 Emirati dirhams, $143,000, which is a small but positive step towards consolidating our commercial and trade relations”, the Deputy Director General pointed out. — (menareport.com)
