Dubai intends to set up a city for exhibitions in the emirate at a cost of more than 8 billion dirhams ($2 billion), the state news agency WAM has reported. The 741-acre Dubai Exhibitions City will be completed by 2020 and will include 19 exhibition and conference halls and servicing centres. The first phase is due to be completed in 2009.
