Dubai’s Port Rashid will soon be the location of the new Dubai Maritime City. The 25 million square foot man-made peninsula will cater to a diverse international maritime audience, situated between the port and Dubai Dry Dock and connected to the land by a causeway.
Dubai Maritime City will act as a nucleus for maritime businesses. Every element of infrastructure required by key marine related industries will be provided, making Dubai Maritime City the bridge for maritime services between East and West.
Dubai Maritime City has the potential to host an array of shipping services including classifiers, onshore and offshore caterers and suppliers. Each service can operate as a separate entity but in close proximity to their prime avenues of business. Ship repair and maintenance services will also be headquartered at Dubai Maritime City.
Marine management services ranging from cargo, vessel and life insurance agencies to legal businesses specializing in consultation, legal advice and marine domain lawyers will find Dubai Maritime City a base for their operations. — (menareport.com)
