The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs685.03 millions of which sales exceeded Dhs250 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs434.85 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 29 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Al Karama that was sold for Dhs115 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Barsha First acquired for the sum of Dhs45 million and another in Ras Al Khor Industrial Second for Dhs12 million.
The Mirdif area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 5 transactions. Emirates Hills First followed it with 4 sales.
During the period, Al Karama recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs115 million, followed by the Al Barsha First area, Dhs48.64 million, and Ras Al Khor Industrial Second area, Dhs12 million.
The biggest area sold was the 41663 sq ft in the Ras Al Khor Industrial Second area, which went for Dhs12 million. A 20000 sq ft plot in the Al Karama Area was acquired for Dhs115 million, while 19900 sq ft of Al Khawaneej First was disposed of for Dhs2.29 million.
During the period under review 32 mortgages worth Dhs412.84 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs91 million for an area at Al Karama. There was another for Dhs60 million on an area in Mankhool.
