The total value of land transactions in Dubai on May 21 peaked at Dhs254.22 millions , of which sales exceeded Dhs67 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs187.01 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 10 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of yesterday, the most valuable of which was a plot in Port Saeed that was sold for Dhs26 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Muhaisanah Fourth acquired for the sum of Dhs13.9 million and another in Um Hurair Second for Dhs12.020103 million.
The Al Barsha Second area was the most active in terms of the yesterday's sales, with some 1 transactions. Al Dhagaya followed it with one deal.
During the period, Port Saeed recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs26 million, followed by the Muhaisanah Fourth area, Dhs13.9 million, and Um Hurair Second area, Dhs12.02 million.
The biggest area sold was the 26694 sq ft in the Muhaisanah Fourth area, which went for Dhs13.9 million. A 23431 sq ft plot in the Um Hurair Second Area was acquired for Dhs12.02 million, while 15000 sq ft of Al Barsha Second was disposed of for Dhs3.65 million.
During the period under review 11 mortgages worth Dhs174.12 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs156 million for an area at Al Safouh First. There was another for Dhs11.04 million on an area in Al Barsha First.
