The total value of land transactions in Dubai on May 6 peaked at Dhs323.97 millions of which sales exceeded Dhs162 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs162.05 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 16 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of yesterday, the most valuable of which was a plot in Al Murqabat that was sold for Dhs27.216 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Barsha First acquired for the sum of Dhs21.5592 million and another in Emirates Hills Second for Dhs21 million.
The Al Barsha First area was the most active in terms of the yesterday's sales, with some 3 transactions. Mirdif followed it with 3 sales.
During the period, Al Barsha First recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs54.03 million, followed by the Al Murqabat area, Dhs27.22 million, and Emirates Hills Second area, Dhs21 million.
The biggest area sold was the 30000 sq ft in the Ras Al Khor area, which went for Dhs7.5 million. A 28719.72 sq ft plot in the Emirates Hills Second Area was acquired for Dhs21 million, while 21870 sq ft of Jumeira First was disposed of for Dhs9 million.
During the period under review 9 mortgages worth Dhs162.05 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs64 million for an area at Al Murqabat. There was another for Dhs30 million on an area in Nad Al Shiba.
