The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs764.64 millions , of which sales exceeded Dhs356 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs409.06 million, according to the Land Department. A total of 45 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Al Murqabat that was sold for Dhs35 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Mankhool acquired for the sum of Dhs25 million and another in Al Nahda First for Dhs21.7 million.
The Al Nahda First area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 6 transactions. Al Barsha Third followed it with 4 sales.
During the period, Al Nahda First recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs114.55 million, followed by the Al Murqabat area, Dhs35 million, and Mankhool area, Dhs25 million.
The biggest area sold was the 121079 sq ft in the Jabal Ali Industrial area, which went for Dhs18.16 million. A 48922.92 sq ft plot in the Nad Al Shiba Area was acquired for Dhs5.38 million, while 31558 sq ft of Al Nahda First was disposed of for Dhs18.93 million.
During the period under review 37 mortgages worth Dhs372.61 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs130 million for an area at Marsa Dubai. There was another for Dhs35 million on an area in Al Murqabat.
